Is he leaving is he not leaving? Every day a new indication. I say: let him go for Robben, van der Vaart and Shnejder and 10 Milion Euro. Sounds like a fair deal to me. I do not like to have players stay on, although they want to play somewhere else.

Mani, I don't like the deal you offered because I have no positive feelings for the players you mentioned. Would you really like to see Robben wearing the Bayern shirt? Maybe Sneider. Anyway, it seems like a team can no longer keep a player under his existing contract when bigger money and bigger clubs call. Maybe Bayern can stand tough and make it clear that obligations should be respected. I say let him go for Iker :-)

@Yinon: Only for Iker ? No way. But good point, only that Real would probably never sell him. Actually I really like Robben and think he is one of the most powerful strikers. Problem with him is that he is selfish and he is injured all the time.

@kittinin: I guess you are right. The only thing that speaks against it is that they spent already too much money. They cannot pay the price Bayern is asking for, so it will only work in a deal that includes some players.

Bayern NEEDS Ribery !!!! Bayern does not have a player on this level...all the 3 names you mentioned are good players...but not the extravagance Ribery gives you...If i would be Bayern, i would say no to even 80 Millions.....

I was of course joking about Iker... I think Bayern deserves one last shot at a major title with Ribery. They won't get it, of course, they are simply not at this level. But they must try and keep him. They can let him go next year for lots of money (will he still be under contract?)

@Yinon: Yes he has a contract for two more years. @Henry: You are right, but it is either this year or next year. If he stays there will be unrest the whole season, the topic will come up again during the winter transfer window.

Henry - I m with Mani on this Sneijder /VDV/Robben mayn't be in the same class as Ribery..but three brilliant players against one Excellent - but not motivated player....I think its clear which side is heavier

@Michael: Thanks for the support :) Ribery will force Bayern to let him go it is just a question of whether it will be now, in winter or next summer. I'd rather have a quiet season without him then having to say after the season "We did not win the league because the Ribery transfer made too many headlines"

Robben, Van der Vaart Shnejder and 10 Milion EuroFor Ribery? I think Bayern are crazy to reject something like that, i would agree for that without the 10 million Euro or just Robben and Vaart

Thing is... he doesn't want to play for us. We should let him go and profit off of it. No swaps - straight cash. Remember folks, we only bought him for 25 mio. Bayern have a top notch scouting team, there are more Ribery's to be discovered and bought out there. Bayern has too much class to have a player on the squad who thinks he's bigger than the club. At the end of the day, we are Bayern Munich.
