I am a really huge fan of this guy! I think he could become one of the best wingers which came out of England if he continues like this. What is funny is that not so long ago they bought a guy by the name of Bentley to take his place, how things change.What the rest think about his potential? Also do you think he will be at Spurs in 3-4 years from now?

i would too Dan - he isn't influencing too many games really. how bad was his injury versus Stoke? for his sake it had better be bad as it is not a good look nor too endearing for the 36,000 fans who'd kill to play 10 minutes. Harry wasn't happy...nor I.

On his day, he can rip a defence to shreds, but these days dont happen often enough. @Stephen - you are right about the last 10 mins...what the hell?! I hope the injury isn't too bad, but bad tactics too on HR's part - he set himself up for potential problem by using all 3 subs (didn't help that one was to replace injured Woodgate). @Chris - I am not a huge fan of Bentley, but maybe he should get a shot?! ;-)

surely Lennon is badly injured ;) I don't know what you guys think but it seems we have gone off the boil since Modric got hurt - we have lost his creativity and unfortunately the other central mids aren't too creative. Against Stoke it was pretty much long ball to Crouchy all day. Jenas needs to play as he is our most creative (that's not saying too much to be fair). Keane has been struggling to get going also, as has Pav so without Defoe (idiot) we are short of both creativity and finishing - hence the results. I see harry is looking at Sandro which is great as back up to Wilson but we need creativity. Fabregas will show us how it is done this weekend i fear.

it all comes back to what is the right shape to win the majority of games in the epl - i wonder how many goals come as a result of wing-play. I'm willing to bet that most come from set pieces and a few from counter attacks (which can happen through wings but not always). Anyway, i'm thinking that Chelsea's diamond formation in midfield could well suit Spurs but with a twist. Wilson at the base, Modric up top, Lennon on the right, Jenas/Kranjcar or Hudd on left - but here's the genius...Wilson stays fixed at the base and the rest rotate around the other 3 positions making them hard to mark and not having to rely on wingplay per se. When Wilson is out Hudd can sit at the base. So Chris you are right - no need for another DM. Rant over. Oh hang on - maybe we could try 3-5-2 but only if Wilson and Hudd both play.

you could still have 2 strikers on as it is effectively a 4-4-2 variant. We don't need 4 world class strikers - that is true. Seems inevitable Pav will go in january although he hasn't had much of a chance has he? If we do sell Pav i wonder who Harry will go for - Petrov? though he's getting a run now at City.

well, you never would have thought that he was the "solution" after he was left out against the gunners and harry decided to deploy keane on the left. perhaps it was the tactics for that match, but we'll see what he goes with against sunderland - anyone else worried about bent scoring?!

this tactic of employing Keane on the left is flawed - it would have been a more balanced team with Kranjcar - Harry seems to want to have to play Keane which is fine if we play 2 up front but otherwise it is risky. As for bent i think he'll struggle a bit without Jones.

couldn't agree more re why we bought Kranjcar Chris. I think he has looked good so far - he is quality on the ball, has a good engine and a good set piece. Obviously Harry thinks Keane is better out left which surely the Arsenal game showed is wrong as Keane was ineffectual. I'm starting to get a bit bewildered by our selections - does Keane have to start as he is captain? Against Sunderland i'd have a 4-4-2 with Crouch and Defoe up top and Wilson, Jenas, Kranjcar and Lennon in mid. If Lennon is unfit then Hudd comes in and Jenas goes out right. Bentley is still majorly unconvincing.

excellent - we are agreed - shame that Harry will start with Defoe and Keane most likely lol... As for Bentley i resent that he comes in for a huge amount of cash and thinks he doesn't need to train and can drink all the time. The height of arrogance - surely we do some sort of psychometric testing to see how they will react and fit in? If you are making a 15m investment you do a bit of due diligence don't you?

even though Keano scored i thought he was poor this weekend - looked better when Kranjcar came on which isn't surprising as he is a left half. In fact it was pretty poor all round and i could understand why the crowd was anxious as we were outplayed for much of it. Worryingly, King was poor again. Corluka uncharacteristically poor. Great result though.

yep great shot stopping and a great penalty save although he gave away the pen with another of those rash rushing out sliding tackles where the striker can just dangle his foot and go down. Wasn't a vintage Spurs performance, in fact you could argue we were outplayed for long stretches, but great result nonetheless. Maybe makes up for the bad luck v Stoke.
