Suarez just trying to defend his goal at any cost, that cost him a red card and penalty. committed a fault and is sanctioned as any other, nothing else

If the goal had become Suarez was responsible for the defeat of Uruguay. There are teams that can play good football but they can not win and that is what the game win. It is best that wins not the one who plays well

Suarez is a cheat and anyone who defends him is equally a charlatan. Some of you think you, because of undue advantage, think an immoral or unethical act, just because it is protected by law is justified. Throughout history defective laws have been used to justfy immorality and unethical behavior, be they apartheid, slavery, subjugation of women, etc. Any defender of an act that is clearly wrong but 'lawful' is just as guilty as the fascists, the defenders of slavery, the religious extremists, the protagonists of of apartheid, etc..

Let's look at some facts, shall we? He had less than a second to react, so it wasn't deliberate, it was more of a reflex, don't you think? You would have done it if you were him, you're just too stubborn to admit it. Another reason you can't call him a cheat is: It was the last second. He was under HUGE pressure. In less than a second he had to decide between stopping the ball with his hands so Uruguay can hope to win on penalties, or let it in, which would probably give him a bad rep in Uruguay. So, you can't really blame him. You just have to live with it that football is a game where it's impossible to play fair. In short: He stopped the ball with his hands. He was sent off and didn't say anything. Gyan missed. Uruguay won. Now they're out. Also, both the Ghana player and one Netherlands player were offside, so Uruguay should say something, not Ghana!

Suarez is not a cheater. It was a natural reaction that every player would have done the same thing. It was the referee's fault.

@tcm, does that mean the players who handle the ball in the box, who deliberately foul other players because they are about to score, those we fake injuries and dive to get penalties are following the rules??? lets be more practical, if suarez was 4m ur country, would you still think this way?
Por  tcm18

no, it doesn't mean they're following the rules, when did i ever say that?

@tcm..so why have you not been blowing the horn on other players? cristiano ronaldo dives like an olympic swimmer, so does robben drogba and many other stars. why is suarez' so important as to get a vote as to if he's guilty or not? why don't you create a forum to talk about how much assistance and good calls manchester united gets from officiating in the premier league?

@sam...offside goal stat? it's too bad you can say a thing like that.man utd is your club but for once in the history of supporting utd, i would like one fan to say the truth. how many penalty decisions, offside goals, red card tackles have gone man utd's way? i have never seen man utd as a great team bcos they can't win the league without the referees. its a total shame that the FA or FIFA haven't stepped in all this while. rafael benitez and mourinho have complained but no1 does anything about it.shame shame shame...

Por  Alcito

@Fome, check your stats then talk sense, Utd have been robbed blindly so often while Chelsea live a charmed life with their corrupt ref tampering. Someone who watches each week would know these things, you clearly don't watch each week and are therefore iin no position to comment. Don't repeat press bullshit about Utd being blessed, we have had to fight and I won't allow anyone to say what you said, it's unconscionable to say we haven't deserved our trophies. The biggest insult was when Scholes had a perfectly good goal against Porto ruled out in 2004 Champion's league which would have seen us progress and them go out, instead of going on to win it. There have been countless occasions when Chelsea have been handed results and had Terry's fouls and handballs in the box ignored, not to mention Drogba, who has tarnished his ability with his regular cheating.

i agree the seria A is corrupt, but at least those who cheat are punished, regardless of club status, popularity or financial power. if the likes of fiorentina, ac milan and juventus could be punished, why can't man utd be punished as well? the league is just a big joke and the officials already know the title winner before the league startz

u kn w why man utd are called so blessed and gifted? coz we win so much! in a country like england, thats bound to happen, especially when every top reporter is based in london!!! SEE to believe, fome. and dont read stories, check stats.

26.07.2010 10:15
@sam..i don't read stories, i watch games and make my analysis based on that..i've seen way too much calls go united's way to know when a match is been influenced. if you believe man utd is great, too bad, their plan was to fool every1 and i guess it's working..if man u is blessed and gifted, what should barcelona be called?
Por  sam_flame
26.07.2010 21:49
i guess, its a clubs plan to play football. any club, if u ask me. no one wants to fool any1 into believing anything. if i wanted to support a team that always wins, id be supporting barcelona. if i wanted to support a team that would do anything to win, i would support chelsea. but clubs like man utd, barca, and even real marid have a glorious history about them. and if you say that that history is just because of referee influence, then you are blinded by hate, my friend. and about barca, i think they are the most skilful and slick team in the world. but when it comes to my loyalty, and total support, i only vouch it to salgao, and man utd.
Por  fome4u2nv
29.07.2010 10:37
man utd is a good team, not a great one. ac milan is the only team i know that show loyalty to their players. remember beckham, nistelrooy and CR7?if you say chelsea cheats, fine. last season, 1st leg man u vs arsenal.if you watched the game you would notice man u got a penalty for a tackle that was similar to the tackle arshavin got, and guess what, no penalty for arsenal. man u vs man city,, the officials indicated 4mins of injury time but played till the 7th min of injury time(when owen scored) why? nobody know, but am thinking they performed heart surgery on the pitch. then immediatlely the goal came in, the ref blew the whistle.if you can look me straight in the eye and say that was a coincidence, then i'd understand you love your club, no matter how despicable they are. got more facts, not enough space or time..
Por  sam_flame
29.07.2010 18:21
@fome; the 7-min-stoppage-time thing was already debated and resolved; and you not knowing it; shows how much you follow my club; yes, the arshavin incident was bad; but in the man utd vs man city game, there were two changes by the man city players; and a goal celebration by bellamy for which the ref added 30 second stoppage time each (they can do that for any match, mind you) and 6 minute 47 seconds was played and owen scored d goal in the 6th minute... so, i dont see anything wrong with that; neither does the FA, neither the whole football fraternity; except man utd haters! :P

@Sam, I don't think you're going to change his mind, people have their opinions and he clearly doesn't like Man Utd. It's his right, but I'm with you bro', special treatment for Man Utd is not evident to me, and I'm trying my damdest to be impartial. I do see it given to Chelsea, and what do you want to bet Man City will start enjoying it too. Money talks, Fergie and Man Utd have always been run properly and don't take gifts, nor do they need them, to suggest that all those league titles were won thanks to ref decisions is a statement best ignored it's so ludicrous.

@sam..i did hear the debate and so called resolve. they said words and gave stupid excuses. why did the ref not add an extra 30secs for the ma utd celebration after they scored the last goal? or it only applies when man city scores? if you want to reason the substitutions and goal as the reason it got to 7mins, why did he blow the whistle almost immediately the goal was scored? @alcito..it's too bad you support spain and cannot see when a team is just over rated. if i say man utd gets too much favour, and you say chelsea gets the favour and man city would soon start getting favours, doesnt that mean there are no real champions in england? and that the league is corrupt? i dont like man utd, its no secret, neither do i like arsenal or chelsea. tottenham, liverpool and villa i can live with..in cristiano ronaldo's treble season with man utd, how many penalties did he score? go figure. utd in the last couple of seasons have nothing but the refs decisions have been guiding them through, at a point they were a force, now they are just scrap. when dwight yorke, andy cole, bechkam and the likes where in the team, that was a UTD, not what they have reduced us to seeing. and you are right, there is no changing my opinion, they are nothing, i pray they mean roma in the UCL, so i can prove it. barcelona showed the world, we are going to stamp it in.

roma? the team that we, the "nothingness" beat 7-1?? and the ref blew the whistle because the man city players showed dissent and dissapproval to the kick off.. betcha didnt know that. and i still dont know how we keep paying the referees with our 720 mill dollar pay roll! it baffles me! and btw, players may come and go, playing styles may change, but we will always stay UTD. so dont comment on that, please.

if the ref blew the whistle because the city players were showing dissent, doesn't that mean he was bias? emotions shouldn't determine length of time played, cards should've been shown.you just confirmed what i've been saying all along.so if they were showing dissent during the normal time of play, the ref could have awarded a penalty to man utd? hmmm, *rubbing chin*, food for thought. yes, utd beat roma 7-1(praises), but did y'all win the champions league that season?i think not. and if they truly owe 720million, how can they still afford to buy players and pay salaries?
Por  sam_flame
31.07.2010 19:00
no, the ref wouldnt have awarded a penalty, but he would have shown a card, and hey fome, imagine, your asking a team to kick off, and try to score, but all they would do is complain and not kick off, asking you to blow the whistle. i know wht i wouldve done. i know what any referee would do. and its not about winning, its about loyalty. and every football team is in some kind of debt now. barca can pay 40 mill for villa and 35 for fabregas, while they lie in 520 mill debt, with the team making losses. but for man utd the glazers are in debt but the club is making profits of 19 mill and 7 million respectively in the last two years. if barca can pay their wage bill, (with a 60 mill swoop of ibra included last transfer season) i dont see any reason why united cant.

well, truth is, i have lost all confidence in utd. i love watchin football (serie a, la liga, bundesliga, dutch, south-africa, and any i can), but when i see utd i always want them to lose.cos they have had it their way for too long, and it all happened(to me) in dubious methods. arsenal i don't like cos of their silly fans in nigeria. they don't watch any other team but always claim to be the best in nigeria..true story

me, seriously dont care about how my fellow fans are. i know my football club. i know their history. and i know why i love and support them. i know you like liverpool and would love if man utd lost every match, but dont put that up with baseless comments. i'll say it clearly. i hate liverpool! but i still think they are a good club, in one of the top leagues in the world! and hey, like tesla said(to edison), "let there be hate, but no disrespect" :-) peace bro!
