rooney also dived in the match man u - arsenal and nobody said anything. uefa didnt ban him from playing. why?

UEFA have given themselves a big problem with this ruling, Rodriguez dived in the Super Cup and nothing was done and Messi went head to head with a Shakhtar player and nothing was said.It seems some teams are above the laws of the game!

As it was a match covered by the Premier League, UEFA had no jurisdiction.. But I agree with you, Rooney was on his way down before Almunia got anywhere near him. Apparently Graham Poll agreed with this, but said that he would have given the penalty anyway, as even though Rooney was looking for it, Almunia made the slightest contact with him. I am sorry but I don't agree and Rooney should be brought to book for this obvious dive!!!!!

Leave the envy the penalty was very clear only(unique) q they did not see it were the fans of the arsenal ... that certainly these hurt(grieved) by the defeat .. glory glory man united

I am an Arsenal supporter Johnnysai and Almunia did not have to bring Rooney down it was a bad decision from the goalkeeper. I do not think anyone player dives more then another and if you are in a final and can win the game who would honestly say they would not go down, i know i would of in my day.What is wrong is that UEFA have singled out one player, if they are serious about stopping di vbing then from now on anyone that is found to have dived should get an automatic 2 game ban.

UEFA said they would give 2 game bans to players who deceived the ref in 2006. Eduardo is the first player so far to get the ban. even Platini dived 2 times in his career, and now he is trying to make the game boring by doing stupid things like this. and regoeking4, why would arsenal be interested in rooney?
