Re: Togo matches. The opposing teams are being awarded a walkover score of 3-0. So the above is not correct, for Group Table purposes.

what do you mean? last i heard, there was confusion - the CAF said Togo were "disqualified" but Togo at wanted to play (or something like that)

originally they voluntarily pulled out, but there is no provision in the event rules for this occurence, so their first match has been listed as a 'no show' on their part. this means automatic disqualification. so when they did a 180 and requested to re-join the tournament, they were declined.

yeah, but that seems a little too rigid for me! I mean, they had just suffered a shocking event. Anyhoo, I think they deserve a little bit more leniency than just having them officially "disqualified" and suffering 3-0 defeats

THIS IS JUST WICKED AND BARBARIC......FIRST THEIR CONVOY WAS ATTACKED,IT IS UNDERSTANDABLE IF THEY REFUSE TO PLAY IN THE TOURNAMENT,BUT AFTER THE CHANGE OF MIND THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN GRANTED THE REQUEST......AFTERALL, THE ''BUSH'' ANGOLANS ARE TO BLAME.((((
