I think so, first reason is so that we dont have a jaded England team in major tournaments, second reason is we dont have fans traveling across the country for postponed games.

Everything seems to point to a winter break being a good thing. Why does the Premiership and the Football League refuse to look at this, the only reason i can think of is money, but even that would be a weak argument

I agree, I dont understand why the premier league is being so stubborn in its stance.

The last time games were called off for bad weather was earlier this year in January. So when would be the best time to arrange the winter break? Bad snowfall in this country is thankfully still quite rare, but can occur any time from early December to late February.

Mid December to the middle of January not because of weather but mainly to provide a rest to players

I think the England team need all the help they can get so I think it will be great to rest the players also, they get a chance to see their families which must be very hard for overseas players.

i think it is a great idea to have a break during the winter time, i hate traveling anywhere to go see my team play and then find out it got postpone 'cause of snow or bad weather, so yeah if it was up to me i all up for it...

LOL, seriously playing so many games and training everyday will definately have you needing a break, I need one talking about it.

I like the remark where someone said: "the only reason i can think of is money, but even that would be a weak argument". Money is a weak argument? What do you think makes football or in fact the whole world tick? It is all about money and it is a great argument. Besides this during the winter is the only time there is no Champions League, so it makes sense to have more local games during that time.
