He's no more a Judas now than when he left Wolves to join Everton. No matter what your job - if someone offered to double your salary, you'd go. It is a huge sum of money, but that's the current market. At least City are not spending borrowed money. If the Sheikh wants to spend his money in this way, that's his perogative.

Everyone's valuation of any player will be different - it depends how much they want them. we need to strengthen our defence, and maybe he's the best left footed centre half we could get. If you look at Hughes's acquisitions so far this summer, they all have Premier League and international experience, some have Champions League as well. These players carry a premium, and the cost always increases once we are involved. Whether he justifies his fee and salary, only time will tell, but it's another move in a forward direction for us - onwards and upwards!!
