Its been well documented recently that Carragher no longer has the ability to keep up with an attacking Liverpool outfit. Can Agger fill the void?

Carragher is still a top quality player..A bad game or two doesn't make a player unworthy....

I completely agree. He has been culpable for more than a few of our goals against this season, and as my favorite player on the team I think its definitely not the time for a knee-jerk reaction. Still, with Agger's chronic injury problems, we really can't afford NOT to play Carragher, as I don't think an Agger-Skrtel center-back partnership would last an entire season.

I dont think Carra doesnt have the ability. So far he has had two bad games, understandable. Everyone has their off days. Carra's pretty strong and we're lucky to have him on the team. He's loyal, a solid defender and one of a kind. Like Dan, he's my favourite too, and I don't want to see him go anywhere...

Agreed. Carra's the man. Agger wouldn't improve things, by the way. He likes to push up and take the ball forward into the opponent's half, so that would just leave Skrtel to cover. I think we'd really be conceding some goals in a Skrtel/Agger center back pairing.

Carragher has never been blessed with pace and neither was Hyypia, but both could read the game very well. I also like Carragher no-nonsense mentality, must be great for up n coming defenders to learn from.

I think he has really come back and done a lot better after those early mistakes, but I know that Rafa isn't one for sentimentality. Case in point: Hyypia (an absolute legend) only getting 6 minutes in his last game before leaving. He's been doing quite well in Germany, and Kyrgiakos isn't half the player the "Iron Tower" was.

wat the hell is wrong with you all kopites ..isnt it our duty to back players..when they or of it ...these words are going to do no good then harm ...just back the team and remain loyal ...the league cup is ours so are all the chamionships...........just hav blf in rafa and leave the rest to him

Yes its our duty to back our players and there's nobody I rate more than Carragher but its naive to be blindly loyal in such a competitive setting. And no Rafa does NOT need to be replaced, that's the kind of talk that throws clubs into turmoil.

Yes with Rafa best we can hope is best three ...He is doing the same mistake as klinsmann ..not willing to accept and correct mistakes...
