Has Alexandre Gaydamak been a disaster for Pompey, I think so

Why? He came in when Milan wanted to sell up, so that was good. He's not interfered at all, so that was good. He's dealt as well with the absolute pile of crap that calls itself the city council as Milan, if not better when it comes to trying to get the idiots there to approve planning permission, so that was good. We won the FA Cup, in case you've forgotten, so that was good. And now he's got a potential buyer for the club who can actually bankroll us to real success when he could have jumped ship earlier and sold to any old Tom, Dick, or Harry. I'm going out on a limb here and saying that's good. Where's the disaster? Nowhere. I've got a lot of time and respect for Milan and the same holds true for Sacha. Gaydemak was good for us, and here's hoping that the new owner takes it up another notch or ten.

In many ways I agree with you, he made money available to buy good players and we won the FA Cup because of it. But most of it was not his money it was borrowed and he put Pompey into a riduculus financeial position so the we had to sell;- Mendez, Taylor, Muntari, Diarra, Dafoe and others and we were still £60m in the mire. Without these top players Pompey have had an auful year, sham the takeover could not have happened a year ago, we might still have thewse superb players and Harry as well. All the talk of new stadium and training grounds were all in his mind. Hopefully the new guy has the cash to put Gaydamak's pipe dreams into action then we will see what a great club we could be.
