ummmm what?! I dont think it would be the best move for Tottenham to bring Beckham in...both with regards to the team and financial considerations

Beckham has always said he would never return to the premiership unless it was to his previous employers and boyhood idols MAN UTD.....I believe him and so should you !!!!!

Haha. @Bestie - I see you have a sense of humour. Fergie has his moments to you know! Actually, what would Man Utd fans think about Becks playing at another Premiership club?

I'd be happy to see Beckham back in England. I think it would be stupid for Tottenham to get him though, I dont think he would be able to handle the rigors of playing week-in, week-out in the Premier League and Tottenham can't afford another player like Ledley King who cant play every game. And what about Aaron Lennon? Hasn't he been amazing for the spurs this season??

beckham will never go to spurs, milan specialise in getting the best out of players in their 30's so he's better of at milan and he knows it

he provided some good momentum for the international team but he is a shadow of his former self. i dont think he would succeed back in the EPL. Agree with bennyizz. Plus, Milan is much more attractive than Spurs

well the rumours seemed to pick up more momentum this weekend. seems redknapp likes the general all-round attitude of becks and the influence he has. role-model and all... i get that part. but i dont know if the positive influence would be justified by huge weekly wages, etc...

David Beck's connection 2 man utd will certainly stop him from a move to tottenham...or to the premier league at all..rather!!!

i think if he does offer him agenerous offer he wil think about it.

I sure hope we do not get him, a seriously overrated and over paid player, we need people which will get us to the next level and 35 year old models won't help us do that

DannyF says..."And what about Aaron Lennon? Hasn't he been amazing for the spurs this season??"...erm...no! Most emphatically, no! Not confusing him with Gareth Bale are you?I hope Lennon finally comes good, but so far, not enough end product. Hence the sense of a loan deal for David Beckham.

@willsie01 - this discussion was actually from back in 2009...which just goes to show that this rumour keeps on coming back! Lennon has been very solid for Spurs - yes, there are aspects of his game which need improving, but bringing in Beckham on loan has nothing to do with Lennon. It would be a deal based on completely other considerations....
