My concern is the turn out of foreign football supporters during the Confed Cup in June this year. What is the feeling like for people outside Africa?

What do you mean? It definitely makes it interesting being hosted on the African continent. I don't know if the fact that the WC will be in South Africa will have an effect on the number of people who will be travelling to take part in the huge event. I will be trying to go...I mean, it's the World Cup!

I think it's time to go down under ,Africa just has no appeal for me ,What about Russia ,China or Turkey FIFA need to expand and maximise developing countrys were a strong support base exists? Iraq or Afghanistan should be rewarded for there newly found democracy's lol

it could be a great world cup if they're really ready to host one?its been a fifa wish to take it to africa for years now?their countries teams have done well in recent world cups?and are now considered as competitive opponents?it should be a colourful event and i hope the footballs going to be top class.

I think it's going to be fantastic! South Africa is a top class destination and the worlds best players will be on show-so bring it on!

Saw a show on it the other day - they were reporting about how fans going to SA will have to get used to the entirely different atmosphere in stadiums. Could see it on the TV during the Confederations Cup - there is a constant noise made by thousands of fans blowing horns ("vuvuzelas") no matter what's going on in the game...kind of a carnival atmosphere - but a different one.
