Is Hiddink going to end up staying and getting his transfer targets drawn up? Pavlyuchenko?! I don't think he'd make it as a Chelsea player

Hiddink has the Russian team prioritised, and he wants them taste football outside Russia before 2010. the Chelsea period, i believe, is used by Abrmovich to evaluate the current squad. they have had a hole up there since the days Sheva failed to impress, and Anelka hadnt done any better, as Drogba is too much of a Victorian Lady. with the cash aware Abramovich, he would have to come up with a 'promising' player cheap enough, while off-loading some others. this grey area is advantagous for Hiddink, so he offers his 'promising' national team players. smart guy, this Hiddink bloke. i'd go for Zhirkov as left midfield or wingback, and swap Pavluchenko (as bench warmer) for Malouda or Carvalho, who may do well for Spurs instead. Pavlyu's cost should not exceed 7m euros, i suppose.

Already heard rumours that Zhirkov is going to come to Chelsea in the summer. But then the other day there was talk of Drogba getting ready to see out the rest of his career at Chelsea. Pavlyuchenko is a decent player, but not amazing. And he only has 4 league goals for Spurs this season - now that's not going to turn Chelsea into league champions!

@dimitri - 7 million euros?! i don't think there is any way tottenham would sell him that cheaply, even if they do need to raise money for summer transfer targets. they bought him for a lot more and i dont think would be willing to accept such a loss. i kinda like pavlyuchenko, but sometimes he just isn't involved enough in a game... most of his goals were in the league cup, but he hasn't really had time to adjust to the rigors of the premier league

@Dan: well, i watched him just about every other week at Spartak. to be honest, i dont think he's worth the money you guys paid for him. even then he hardly gets involved in a match. im sure you wont let him go for that valuation, which is why i thought a swap deal might work. but would you mind having Malouda or Carvalho? @Jimmy: yup, an amazing player is never cheap, and Pavlyu isnt amazing. he's good only when the team is able to provide him chances after chances, up to 20 in a match. then he'd score one or two. anyway, im puzzled by this Abramovich-Hiddink deal. its professional, but with added motivations

le falta un poco mas Pavlyuchenko para que llege al chelsea ya que el futbol ingles es el mas fuerte y el chelsea es un equipo muy competitivo .

I agree with Dmitri...saw many spartak games....the Euro is what garnered Pavlyuchenko that dough really...without Arshavin in the lineup, Pavlyuchenko became the standout

@MagPI - cos you wanna see Tottenham lose a "star striker" or because you wanna see Chelsea buy a "useless striker"?!
