will big players who manchester city will look to buy in the summer see the club as an attractive option?

I don't think so, simply because theres a better chance of winning elsewhere - including other Premiership teams aside from the big 4. It's almost like a backlash against Man City for becoming the worlds richest club. Only the greedy who dont care about winning (cough) Robinho (cough). Then again, I can see Man City throwing so much money to 'buy' a winner that players would be obscenely overpaid, which would be an attractive option to them. A toss up really.

dont know if anyone will really want to move to city. it is most likely being looked upon as a nouveau riche club without much tradition of winning trophies. mark hughes doesn't inspire much excitement either.

sorry to disappoint you neil, but i dont see it happening really. i think city somehow convinced robinho that there were more on the way, but it was combined with his desparation to leave real... he did cock up at his first press conference didnt he?! if kaka had agreed to join it would be a different story...

perhaps some if they offer them really sick contract but man city should buy smart-players who are good and who are willing to come to the club, who are talented

Get ready for a rant...haha...All city seems to be at the moment is a haven for players with a reputation to come, get paid millions and dissapoint. In the summer i think we could just end up with players at the twilight of their careers, who won't blend into the squad whatsoever such as marcos senna just because Hughes wants some experience. I think we need to look to the future, hang on to Richards, Onuoha, Ireland, Hart, Johnson etc. and if we are going to spend money, spend it on what we need i.e - a mix of experience and future prospects. For a start we need to get rid of players that really haven't been pulling their weight, are far too unreliable on fitness or aren't really going to be in the plans for next season inc. - vassell, Corradi, Ben Haim, Garrido, Mills!, Bojinov maybe? etc. and get good future prospects out on loan so they aren't getting bogged down in the squad i.e Caicedo and Kasper. Then, looking at our squad, we only have to add some depth, quality in certain positions and sure up our crazy defence.Let's be honest, the only players who will want to come to us next season are those who aren't playing in europe at the moment anyway, players who aren't getting in or just unhappy their current team...or can be persuaded by money. I rekon we need a calming presence in defence as even Dunne has been unreliable this season and also some further depth. I think we need some further depth on the wing because when Petrov and SWP are out or need a rest, kelvin etuhu has done nothing this season. And we need a range of options up front, preferably one of them a natural goal scorer...Central Defence - Puyol or Cannavaro....more likely the latter, and past his best, but he's the sort of player that can just calm the defence down in his last couple of seasons. I rekon Wheater from Middlesboro' if they go down would also be a great buy for the future.Full backs - Lahm/Bale....both got massive futures....won't be cheap but definitely worth it.Wingers - Queresma/Martins...both available in the summer as newcastle are (probably) going down and Queresma is out of favor at Inter and not in the chelsea team at all.Strikers - Tevez or Zaki....Even Sir Alex doesn't rekon United will keep him but city can afford him and it's the easy option for him as him and his family wouldn't even have to move. And Zaki, available for cheap in the summer, definitely won't be staying at Wigan and i rekon he would settle down at City....Another outsider is Thierry Henry but who knows... Sadly, i rekon Hughes will go for trying to keep most of his squad together, bring in his old mate Santa Cruz who will live on the injury table with Bellamy all season. Then he'll try and bring in a few over rated players like Downing, Bentley and Tuncay on the cheap and we'll have a few sagas such as KaKa again, Michael Owen and Samuel Eto'o, none of which will materialise...i hope i eat my words...Whatever happens, i just don't want to "just wait until next season" again like we've all done for 5ish years now haha...sorry...what do u all think anyway?
