Champions League
There's a week to go until the first round of matches in the Champions League knock-out stages, but here's a short look at the first set of matches:

Valencia vs Schalke
Estadio de Mestalla (55,000 capacity)
Tuesday 15th February
Kick-off: 20:45 CET

Valencia:
The La Liga club will be looking to put home advantage to good use in the 1st leg tie. Valencia are currently lying in 4th position in the domestic league, and have been in good form of late. Their Champions League journey has so far been rewarding, with the team notching up 16 goals in their 6 Group C matches.

Schalke:
In contrast, the Bundesliga club will be hoping that they can get their season on track with a good result in Spain, and then in the 2nd leg in Germany. Currently lying in 11th position in the domestic league with 26 points from 21 games, the side will be looking to Raul and Huntelaar to provide them with the goals to fire them through to the next round.

Milan vs Tottenham
Stadio Giuseppe Meazza (82,995 capacity)
Tuesday 15th February
Kick-off: 20:45 CET

Milan:
Massimiliano Allegri’s side currently tops the Serie A and will be looking to continue their impressive run of form. Milan are currently unbeaten in 10 matches and will hope to dispose of their competitors from London and continue on to the Quarter Finals.

Tottenham:
Harry Redknapp will have to deal with injuries and his side’s recent patchy form as he takes his team to Italy for the second time in this Champions League campaign. Last time out, Tottenham lost to Inter Milan 4-3. Spurs may have to cope without both Luka Modric and Gareth Bale.

Arsenal vs Barcelona
Emirates Stadium (60,355 capacity)
Wednesday 16th February
Kick-off: 20:45 CET

Arsenal:
One of the most anticipated ties will see Arsene Wenger’s men try to stop Messi and co. from storming their way through to the next round. The Premier League side has been in good form of late but will have to overcome the disappointment of only drawing 4-4 at the weekend against Newcastle, despite having been up 4-0.

Barcelona:
Pepe Guardiola’s team is sitting pretty at the top of the Spanish league and look to be cruising to yet another title. The club will be looking to make amends for the disappointment faced in last season’s Champions League and Guardiola will be looking to his star-studded side to deliver the result.

Roma vs Shakhtar Donetsk
Stadio Olimpico (82,656 capacity)
Wednesday 16th February
Kick-off: 20:45 CET

Roma:
The Italian club is currently lying in 7th position in the Serie A, and just suffered a 5-3 defeat at the hands of Inter Milan. The team’s form has been indifferent so far this season and they qualified for the knock-out stages after finishing behind Bayern Munich in Group E.

Shakhtar Donetsk:
The Ukranian side currently lies in 1st position in the Ukranian Premier League and had an impressive Group Stage campaign, winning 5 and losing 1. With the likes of Eduardo and Luiz Adriano leading the front line, the side could quite well cause an upset.

We've got some good action coming up, that's for sure...
