Dennis Bergkamp
With
Arsene Wenger
moving towards an end of his managerial career, and
Dennis Bergkamp
establishing himself as a manager by being the strikers' coach at
Ajax
(under van Basten) and also the assistant manager of the
Netherlands
national team, do you he is good enough to sit in the praetor's chair at North London????

I do not know anything about Bergkamp as a coach. A lot of good players did not make it afterward as coaches.

I'm yet to see him as a full on manager. To be honest, I see him coming back as part of a coaching team, rather than the main replacement. I would love to see Steve Bould given a go. He's done wonders with our youth team this season.

He doesn't fly at all, maybe as a general coach, but not as the head trainer.

But by the time Arsene Wenger retires, he will be amply experienced as a manager.....I feel!!!

Dennis Bergkamp undoubtedly is a great person to guide the Gunners forward provided he is experienced enough in coaching as sometimes great players do not make great managers.

i don't think bergkamp will be too bad,,, he has a lot of wills, and his attacking tactics weren't too bad when he was a player, i just feel that its worth a try,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,btw i agree with John Hughes, Steve Bould , was awesome , it would be a risk but wrth a try , barca succeeded doing the same think by appointing pep guadiola,[ex- barca athletic manager], it might just work for the gunners too,,,,,,,

I think after Arsene goes we need to get an experienced manager in with DB10 as his right hand man, then eventually he will take over as manager. Also we need Bould to stay as Youth team coach so we can keep that production line going strong.

very interesting question, I dont know enough to give a good answer, other than I know his soccer intelligence is very high. He should prove himself with the reserves or some other teams head coach before given the throne as Wenger's replacement- a very tough act to follow...

i dont think so..............bergkamp..is one of a class players..................but arsene can not be substituted by a player ..experience matters a lot ...when it comes to managing ppl...i dont think bergkamp can be any where close to wenger on this aspects......he might do a good coach ...not a manager

he was insanely intelligent as a player, works with Ajax now, if he works with Arsene for about 2 years, why not? but he needs some more experience. and, what about his phobia?

I think it's way too early to discuss this, Arsene has still plenty to give, also don't forget Dennis is the "Non -flying Dutchman", I think it's quite problematic if you want to coach a top team...:)

I think that Dennis would make a great coach but I do think he needs to pay his dues coming up the ranks, he has the knowledge now he just has to translate it to molding players and strategy, I think if he joins Arsenal to study under Arsene then he is on the fast track to be the next gaffer.
