Who will be king of the crocks in Spurs v Arsenal game? King or van Persie?
Por 360footbal...
It looks like Ledley King will be fit enough to play against Arsenal tonight and he could be up against a fellow crock in Arsenal's Robin van Persie.

Van Persie hasn't played since November and King continues to defy medical science by playing at all.

Spurs certainly need King's leadership qualities and ability to read the game, but he lacks mobility nowadays so Arsenal could exploit that.

Van Persie scored twice at White Hart Lane last season, so if the Dutchman takes the field it may spark additional nerves amongst the Tottenham fans and players alike.

So I'm tipping van Persie to nick a goal if he comes on with about 20 minutes to go!

The bad news for Arsenal is Alex Song's absence could mean more freedom for Luka Modric. It remains to be seen whether Denilson can keep tabs on the mercurial Croat and perhaps this will be the area that determines the outcome of the game.

Alex Song is certainly a big loss for arsenal and we sae that in the game against Barcelona, Denilsons all round play is not good enough in my view! But with Van Persie back in the Arsenal spaud we could as you say see a goal or 2 coming from him, even if he is not as sharp as he should be, but the fact is that Van Persie is a natural footballer and when ever he goes on the field against any oposition you would back him to score! Would be interesting to see if walcot can make a big impact in the game with his pace and if he performs tonight and putts in some good crosses in for Bentner and later for Van Persie it could be a good night for arsenal!

Gareth Bale's pretty quick but you're right in suggesting Theo Walcott could put Spurs on the back foot. With no Wilson Palacios and a lack of strength in central midfield, I'm hoping Wenger tells Theo to cut inside and run at the heart of Tottenham's defence. They looked very susceptible to that against Pompey so let's hope they crumble defensively again. King might make them a bit more organised at the back, but van Persie (even if he is ring rusty) might be too hot for them to handle.

Well, even if King plays, it's highly unlikely he'll last the full 90 mins. More like 70 or so... which would be about the time you are suggesting van Persie would come on. so... beyond that, i'm just so nervous. there's so much at stake for us, beyond the fact that it's a chance to get one over the gooooooooooners. Good post, so apologies for the upcoming graffiti, but gotta say it...COYS!
