So that’s all you have to do to win the English Premier league over 38 games with a chance to collect 114 points, all you really need is 82 points. So all that stands in the way of Sir
Alex Ferguson
getting back the League Title is 25 points from 12 games?
Well that’s what he thinks after he slammed the door shut on
Chelsea
winning it this year, in a recent interview SAF stated that it is now a two horse race between his
Manchester United
and
Arsene Wenger
’s Gunners.
"Normally two teams break away when you come to the end of the season - that's the way it's looking," Ferguson said.
"I think either
Arsenal
or ourselves will win it."
With only one point separating the old foes and United with a game in hand over a strong looking Arsenal side this season, can Sir Alex Ferguson make it 19 titles for the Red Devils, with only 1 defeat all season in the league it’s continued consistency that Ferguson is looking for.
"I said some time ago, the team that is most consistent would win the league. That is why I stress that we have to keep our momentum going and get that consistency."
Within the next couple of weeks we may just get a sneak peek at were the title might fall as Manchester United have a game in hand against
Wigan
today but then have to go away to both Chelsea &
Liverpool
were as Arsenal host
Sunderland
followed by an away tie to
West Brom
, could united stretch there lead at the top or will Arsenal over take them with by that time only 10 games left of the season.
One thing is for sure come Sunday May 1st when Arsenal welcome United to the
emirates
and only 4 games of the season left to go who knows we may have the champions named by 4 o’clock,
So who will it be Arsenal Or United?
Who will have the last laugh?
