Against Santos last sunday in Vila Belmiro Fla was the first club to reached the mark of a thousand games by the Brazilian Championship. 1000 matches, 417 wins, 276 draws and 307 losses. Scored 1383 goals and 1132 taken. Five titles and the best and largest attendence.

Unfortunately yes, Dimitri. 80, 82, 83, 87 and the last in 92. Fla has always been champion with home made players, it became impossible when the modern football market became this aggressive business. Flamengo is a multisport club (rowing, basketball, atlhletics, artistic gymn, volley, etc.) managed in a way outdated for modern times. Besides the economic problems the administration of the club is a mess, and for worse this is an election year. Everything that refers to Flamengo is very big, including the problems. The football team, for example, is without a coach since the 13ª round.

In a competition with at least 12 big clubs five titles is not "only" (S.Paulo/6, Fla/5, Palmeiras, Vasco, Corinthians/4, Internacional/3, Gremio/2...). The vast and passionate fans are the biggest heritage of Fla, a nation of 35 million fans able to make the difference, a recent example...( http://www.fifa.com/worldfootball/clubfootball/news/newsid=650870.html ). About Zico be Mengo´s coach I don´t believe, maybe a football manager or president, I hope. But I doubt that will happen in the coming year.
