Brazil could not react to the pressure that was on them an eventually lost. They also were down to 10 men Uruguay vs Ghana match summary The first half of this game was actually quite two-sided. The possession was almost 50-50. Then an unexpected goal by sulley muntari at the 45th minute put Ghana in the lead. 10minutes into the second half a free kick was converted into a goal by Deigo Forlan. Kingson went the right way but he just saw the ball flying past his net. In extra time(120th minute) there were three attempts on goal and the third attempt which actually crossed the line but was called as hand ball by Suarez. He was red carded and was off the field an had conceded a penalty kick at the most crucial moment of the game. Gyan took the kick and struck it too hard and it bounced of the upright and with that miss the game went down to penalties. Uruguay won 4-2. Germany vs Argentina summary An impressive start by the Germans when Mueller shot the ball into the Argentinian net at the 3rd minute. There was nothing Sergio Romero could do about it. Sometime later Argentina scored but were offside. Into the second half the Argentineans were doing well untill they conceeded a terrible goal. Podolski's cross across the argentinian goal and sergio romero mistimed his dive. It went straight to Klose and he LITERALLY walked the ball into the goal. The Agentinians were still performing well until a third goal for the Germans by defender freidrich sealed the game for them in the 76th minute and completely demoralizing the argentinians. 12 minutes later Klose scored a fourth for Germany almost the same way as he had done before. This was a complete thrashing for Maradonna's men.....
Spain vs Paraguay summary The first half of the match was dull and the Spanish found it tough to break through the Paraguay defense. A shot into the back of the net by valdez on the 40th minute was offside and unfortunately Paraguay could not take the lead. In the 59th minute a heavy foul in the spanish penalty area gave away a penalty to Paraguay. Iker Casillas showed his skill as a high rated goalkeeper when he blocked the penalty yet again denying Parguay with the lead once again. In the 83rd minute a shot by David villa finally gave the Spanish the lead and the winning goal. David Villa is now the holder of the Golden boot with five goals to his name...
