More bad news for Arsenal’s injury-plagued defense today as Andre Santos has been ruled out for three months with an ankle ligament injury.

A statement on the Arsenal web site read:

Andre will have surgery in Brazil this week and is expected to be out for around three months. Everyone at the Club wishes him well.

The location of the surgery is a bit of a surprise as I would have thought that Arsenal would have wanted it done closer to home, so that Arsenal’s medical staff could have started working with him as soon as possible.  Read more... (142 words, estimated 34 secs reading time)
