Peterborough 4-4 Cardiff City - Highlights, Reaction
Por Championsh...

Championship fans were treated to one of the spectacles of 2009, just as we are about to enter 2010.

Promotion-chasers Cardiff City were cruising to a comfortable victory against bottom-side Peterborough, only to be stunned by an incredible 2nd-half comeback by the club fighting for Championship survival.

With 45 minutes played, Cardiff seemed to be sitting pretty and any ideas of a comeback would surely have been scoffed at. But Mark Cooper's side had other ideas.

See the goals here:

The result added further misery to Cardiff's Christmas period, having lost 1-0 to other relegation candidates Plymouth Argyle in the previous match.

Cardiff boss Dave Jones wasn't shy in his post-match analysis:

"I've said my piece at full time. They know where they stand. They know where I stand and it's hard to swallow at this moment so I just need to be away from them for a day. I'll think about what to say to them when we all get back in and go through the video. But it's certainly a horror show for the second 45 minutes, going from such a comfortable lead. But when you think you've seen it all, you haven't and that's sometimes the beauty of this game. Players switched off and didn't do what they were told to do. Players went from a dominant position to thinking that the game was done and dusted. Far too many of our players didn't work hard enough. We allowed Peterborough back into the game when they were dead and buried."

With a break from league action over New Year (FA Cup time), get ready for some match previews next week.

I've got nothing better to do.
