Today is like every other day. But it has the potential to be so much more.
Last week I was telling myself that the match in
Milan
between
Inter
and
Tottenham
was the biggest one I have seen in my time as a Tottenham fan. What a great time to go down 4-0!
Things change...and now, tonight is the biggest match. Tottenham will need to get a good result (be it win or draw) in order to keep things looking good in the club's Champions League campaign.
Boosted by the news that
Rafael Van der Vaart
is expected to play after recovering from a hamstring injury, Harry Redknapp will have to find a way to get the Spurs team performing straight from kick-off. Inter have shown themselves to be a clinical and unforgiving team; punishing Spurs last time round for some poor defensive work and pretty much determining the result within the 1st half of the match.
On the team news front, both teams will have their second choice GKs starting in goal, and this for me will prove to be the key battle tonight. Both teams will be looking for leadership and safe hands from their men between the sticks and an error from either of the two could see a complete collapse in confidence.
While there is the "big-game" focus afforded to this "crunch" game, I will definitely be keeping a close eye on the other Group A match, Werder vs
FC Twente
. The outcome of tonight's games can go a long way to setting up the winners of the group and I would love to see Spurs make it!
It's all possible. We can make history...COYS!

We sure gave them a good beating, especially Bale was terrific in this game, made Maicon look like a school kid.
