West Ham vs Tottenham - The Hammers vs Spurs
Por Dan K
Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to continue their 100% record against local London rivals West Ham. Spurs have been in hot form so far, with an impressive performance and win against Liverpool, followed by their 5-1 thumping of Hull City.

Gianfranco Zola’s team will be looking to continue their own unbeaten start to the season, after a 2-0 victory against Wolves last weekend. However, their defense will need to be up to the task against former Hammer Jermain Defoe, who announced his goalscoring start to the season with a hat-trick during Tottenham’s midweek win. Tottenham’s back four will have to contain Carlton Cole, who was impressive in his team’s last match and will most likely continue his lone role up front.

The Tottenham back line should be boosted by Ledley King’s return, who was rested for the match against Hull. This will probably result in Vedran Corluka returning to his regular right-back role, at the expense of Scottish international Alan Hutton. Spurs’s main injury concern for the match is goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes, but Harry Redknapp will be able to call on Carlo Cudicini should he need to.

I am trying to keep my feet grounded following Tottenham’s good start, but I am aware there is a long way to go. Hopefully, are run won’t come to an end at the hands of the Hammers, and we’ll reclaim top spot.

Prediction

About 40% of the Predicting Footbo community is backing a win for Tottenham, with 28% going for a 2-1 away win. I am also backing a win for Tottenham (obviously) but am going to side with the 12% that think the score at full-time will be West Ham 1-3 Tottenham.

COYS!

The Final Word

While both sides prepare to go into battle, I just wanted to wish Calum Davenport a full and speedy recovery following the depraved and horrific attack that he suffered. The former Tottenham, and current West Ham defender was brutally stabbed in both his legs and I hope that he will be back playing the sport he loves as soon as possible.

Stabbing him in both legs suggests someone wanted to end his career. Shameful! :( 1 - 3 Tottenham win

I think Spurs should win this game, i think it should be an exciting one with plenty of goals, so the 3-1 goaline should be about right.
