The duck Pato, one of Europes hottest properties

9 goals in 18 games aged 18 in his first Serie A season, 10 goals in 16 games this season. The stats speak for themselves, Pato has taken Serie A by the scruff of its neck to pace himself as one of the most exciting youngsters, and players, in world football. Breathtaking pace, fantastic footwork, great in the air and a feroucious shot make Pato the complete package. When Kaka and Pato combine there is usually only one outcome, a goal. However, for me what makes him all the more outstanding is the fact that he has come into one of the worlds biggest clubs and such a young age and just taken it all in his stride. Compare him for example to Gilardino. Another very good striker, but one who failed to cope with the pressure that playing for Milan brings even at an older age. Pato in effect is the finishing touch that Milan, in attacking terms, have been looking for since the demise of Shevchenko, and the way Pato is developing at such a young age will give him the chance to surpass the old master of the San Siro.
