Nolan set to be Newcastle's inspiration

Kevin Nolan
Newcastle United has achieved a major success in the winter transfer market by signing midfield dynamite Kevin Nolan from Bolton Wanderers on a four and a half year deal worth around four million pounds. One of English football’s most inspirational midfielders in modern era, Nolan is a prized catch for Joe Kinnear’s struggling Newcastle United and the relative moderate purchase would help the Magpies fill the void left in the team with the absence of Joey Barton with a broken foot. What Kevin Nolan will bring to this Newcastle side is his sheer inspiration on the field that we enjoyed so much watching him wreak havoc at the Reebok stadium. After the signing Mr.Kinnear was absolutely delighted with his new acquisition and in his press conference, his delight was clearly visible as the manager was quoted as saying, “When I heard there was a chance getting Kevin I was determined we would pull out all of the stops to bring him here. He’s a player I think our fans love. He’s a real inspirational player and a great character. He’s the sort of lad who never knows when he is beaten. He’s got a good eye for goal and has got bags of Premier League experience.”
The move from the North West of England to the North East marks an end to a ten year old association between Kevin Nolan and Bolton Wanderers, where the 26 year old midfielder joined as a sixteen year old in 1999. With the Magpies trying to climb up the Premier League, Kevin Nolan is the right person to inspire a late season revival. Going into the most critical period of the whole season, teams on both ends of the table require experienced legs and minds of steel and Kevin Nolan, undoubtedly, falls into that category. A sort of midfielder who always has the knack of moving up and getting involved and coordinating with the attack, Nolan is the player that could easily develop a close chord with the Newcastle set up at St.James’ Park. Fifty goals in 323 appearances for the Trotters is a handsome return for a selfless player like Kevin Nolan.
The Englishman, who still pursues a dream call up to Fabio Capello’s England national team, will feed Michael Owen and Mark Viduka with delightful balls all day long in the football pitch. An ardent supporter of Liverpool from childhood, Kevin Nolan has revealed his happiness after signing for the Barcodes.
Nolan was quoted as saying, “It’s all happened so quickly but it was an opportunity which was impossible to turn down. I can’t wait to play in front of these fans(the Geordies)every week and I’m really looking forward to the next four and a half years.”
Newcastle has lacked a genuine leader on the field since Alan Shearer but with the arrival of Kevin Nolan to Tyneside, the club can now look forward to a new inspiration who will give everything in his repertoire on any given matchday against any opposition. Off the field too the club would be greatly helped by a generous and non-controversial Kevin Nolan who can be a future role model of every Newcastle youngster just as he is with Bolton Wanderers. His never say die attitude would be always be highly appreciated by a very demanding yet suffering St.James’ Park faithful.

i don't really get how they got him so cheap. nolan is a player who pops up and really delivers week-in, week-out and i can see bolton struggling without him - although they still beat tottenham yesterday haha!
