Manchester United vs Arsenal

Tomorrow’s Old Trafford clash sees high-flying Arsenal try to continue their scoring run, inflict a further blow to Manchester United’s already faltering start to the season, and in doing so, get one over their "Big Four Rivals".

                                                       

The first meeting of the season between two of the “Big Four” provides football fans with a mouthwatering prospect, with Arsenal having already scored 10 goals in their opening two Premier League matches, and with Manchester United having recently smashed five goals past Wigan.

Arsenal will have to brave through this match without Captain Cesc Fabregas, whose absence from the team was confirmed by Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger. Fabregas suffered a hamstring injury during the Gunners’ 4-1 victory over Portsmouth last weekend. Even though Tomas Rosicky has fully recovered from his long-term injury, it is unlikely that he will be thrown into the action against the Premier League Champions.

Arsenal will assess the fitness of England International Theo Walcott, who has yet to make an appearance this season. Samir Nasri, Johan Djourou and Lukasz Fabianski are all definitely out.

Manchester United will still be unable to call upon the services of Rio Ferdinand, while Edwin Van der Sar remains out with a finger injury. Ferdinand’s absence will most likely result in the continued partnership with Nemanja Vidic, who recently returned to action following injury.
