Sunday, News and Champions League Previews
Por Joe
Sunday saw changes in the top of the Spanish and Italian leagues, as Almeria held Real Madrid to a surprising 1-1 draw at Estadio del Mediterraneo, and Milan leapfrogged Napoli , Inter and Udinese and are in first place for the first time in four years !

Napoli's central midfielder Maggio was sent off after clumsily getting two yellow cards in 20 minutes, and Milan were dominant throughout the game. However, right-back Santacroce and goalkeeper Iezzo were on incredible form and Milan failed to score against the Naples side. Iezzo made two world-class saves, one in the 49th minute where he spectacularly stopped Ronaldinho, and later on he saved a penalty from Kaka. German Denis, who scored a hat-trick against Reggina earlier this week, scored again today, but unfortunately at the wrong end, and his own-goal gave Milan the win. Ezequiel Lavezzi was Napoli's only danger and was my Man of the Match along with Santacroce and Iezzo.

Pablo Piatti earned a point for Almeria against Los Blancos with a late equalizer after Rauls first-half diving header. It was a dull, dreary fixture without many chances, but 19-year old Piatti got a chance to prove himself and score against the champions, must be a huge confidence booster for the young promising Argentine. Real Madrid never really got going and their central midfield especially looked very bleak. They need to recover their form in time for their Champions League clash with Juventus.

Manchester United will be taking on Celtic this week and I expect another dull match, Celtic will be more than happy with a draw, and their tough mentality will make them hard to break down. However, I predict a 2-0 win for Manchester United. Berbatov is on incredible form and is the leading scorer in the Champions League so far with his four goals. Expect more magic from the Bulgarian!

Villarreal are playing newcomers Aalborg from Denmark, and there was goals galore last time these two played each other. I don't expect quite as many goals this week, Aalborg are definitely a team to be wary of, especially at home in Denmark. 6-3 was the scoreline last week, but I predict a comfortable 2-1 win for Villarreal.

Arsenal are in quite the crisis now that Walcott and Adebayor are injured, apparently seriously. This coming week will not be easy for them with games against Turkish Fenerbahce and Manchester United. Even though it's early in the season, the Manchester United fixture could be decisive for the title chasers. I think Arsenal will fail to penetrate the Fenerbahce defence without the man from Togo, and the match will finish 0-0.

Liverpool will face Atletico Madrid in their Champions League tie, and Fernando Torres' injury may hinder him from playing against his old side. Rafa Benitez has left the decision up to Torres himself, whether he wants to play or not. The Liverpool defence will have trouble controlling on-form Aguëro, but must be wary of opening up for the likes of Forlan and Simao. I predict a 2-1 win for Liverpool.

Chelsea play Roma, one team on exceptional form, the other on dismal form. Roma will struggle to get anything out of this game, and with the form they're in at the moment, they should just concentrate on avoiding another 7-1 loss. Chelsea are incredibly strong at the moment, and keep an eye on Nicolas Anelka especially.

Thx for all the feedback, keep on reading and goodbye !
