Celtic should offer Arsenal's Sol a coaching role

Now Neil Lennon's been confirmed as Celtic boss, Arsenal should move quickly to re-sign Sol Campbell.

Sol did enough last season to prove he's worth a one-year deal. If we dither, in customary Arsenal fashion, he could end up at Celtic.

I expect Lennon's already on the phone, trying to convince Sol to sign. The next Celtic boss may only be 38 years-old, but you can tell he means business.

The question remains though, will Sol want to play for a manager who has achieved little in comparison and is just 3 years his senior. Also will southern Sol want to relocate to Scotland? The furthest Sol's been away from his London roots so far is Nottingham...and look how that turned out!

If I was Lennon, I'd offer Sol a coaching role to clinch the deal. Come to think of it, Arsenal should do the same as we could do with a defensive coach!

I think that Arsene Wenger should offer Sol another year, with the option of joining our coaching staff afterwards. I know we have Steve Bould and Martin Keown already, but Sol would be a good addition. Also when is the Adamster gonna come home?

With his dubious record in managment (the Pompey stuff aside), I'm not keen for Adamski to return...Keown is out of the picture at Arsenal, I heard...not sure why, as Keown seemed to do a good job, judging by results...and Bould has done a great job with our youngsters, so maybe he should get a promotion...and yes, Sol has to get one more year with the option you suggest...that might just swing it, otherwise he'll be off.
