Steve Coppell,
Bristol City
What do you make of
Bristol City
's start to the season?
Personally, i don't think it's anywhere near as good as it should have been. It's been chaotic, Steve Coppell coming in at the end of last season, and only lasting 1 league game into his first season in charge of
the Robins
. Why? We don't know. What we do know is that he also retired from the game. A big loss for the beautiful game. Steve Coppells assistant was appointed the permanent manager straight away and results have been mixed. I think the one that dissapointed me the most was the latest fixture which we lost 2-0 at home against
Watford
. We should have beaten Watford, it's as simple as that. We are about 7 games into the season and bristol city find themselves just one place above the relegation places, they shouldn't be there! They should be competing for promotion to the premier league! They have Premier League players in their squad, as well as a world cup star in former
Liverpool
, aston
villa
,
manchester city
and
portsmouth
goalkeeper
David James
. He hasn't made the best start with bristol city as he would have liked, with his premier league form failing to follow him to the championship, but i'm sure he will find it again, eventually.
Do you think Bristol City will be in a relegation scrap this season? I certainly hope not, but with the way things are going at the moment, then it's safe to say that it definately is a possibility. One more question before i end, Do you think that kieth was the right man to take the reigns of bristol city and take them to the next level? I can tell you now, that i don't think that he was. Not yet anyway, i'm not going to go gunning for him or anything like that because i believe everybody should be given their chance in the game.
I must say, i would have happily accepted the job to take bristol city to the premier league! :)
Sorry this blog was a bit rushed and might not actually make any sence to any of you.
Josh
