Audi Cup Final Preview: FC Bayern to beat Manchester United
Por Mani Honigstein

After a strong performance against AC Milan last night, Bayern will face one of their arch rivals, Manchester United tonight.

Bayern beat AC Milan in an impressive 4-1 win last night. Although Bayern played strong, even without Franck Ribery, AC Milan had just returned from America and the looked tired. But in any case, the current Milan team is in any case not comparable to the Milan team of three years ago.

The win was important for Bayern and now all we need to do is to win against Manchester United. This would give the team a real boost in confidence before the beginning of the German season. This weekend Bayern will already play in the DFB Pokal, so I expect that van der Gaal will not play with his Top 11 tonight.

Manchester United was a bit lucky last night against Boca Juniors, but scored two nice goals. They are earlier in their preparation for the new season, since the EPL only starts on the 15th if August.

I do believe that Bayern will win tonight, simply because they are the better team, they have almost completed their preparation for the new season and they will take the game more seriously than Manchester.

I already had predicted that these two teams will be in the final and now I guess Bayern will win 3:2 in the final tonight.

Enjoy

I agree that Bayern played very good but our gool keeper worries me a lot. I also really hope that we will not regret at the end of the season that we bought Mario Gomez for 30 million Euro. In general i think we have a very strong Bayern Munich team this year with an excellant couch Van Gaal.

I agree on the goalkeeper. We have two - not- so great - keepers. Gomez is good and he will be OK at Bayern. But 30 Million was way too much for him

Goal keeping has been the single most discussed issue for Bayern for the last 18 months or so...... Jorg Butt was a pretty neat GK in his leverkusen days..and should be better than Rensing...

All credit to Bayern, they have good harmony in their approach play, and Van Gaal seems to have instilled his philosophy very clearly. However i am not happy about Milan, 4 games and 4 losses in pre-season, unless Galliani and Berlusconi help Leonardo, and i don't mean recall Di Gennaro&Abate return from loan, but really improve on what they have. A proud club like Milan has been bad in pre-season. Good tournament though by the way thus far.

It is very early to judge - lets see Bayern after the Bundesliga starts, and which Ribery Bayern will get...he is the player with the greatest impact on the team, if they want to win titles this year again.....

I had to eat some of my comments regarding Rensing--atleast for yesterday - But what a pleasure it was to do so....More than the result, it was the neat ,smart passing game which was a heart warmer , such a relief from Klinsmann style... Gorlitz looks much better than Lell..Both Sosa and Baumjohann looks competent as well....
