What exactly is going on with
Celtic
? Is there no-one better than
Tony
Mowbray
, who was recently relegated with
West Brom
.? In the last weeks there were only rumours around him as the next
Hoops
gaffer, but now Celtic really wants talks with him, as
Sky Sports
reported. The only thing I can do now is hope and pray that someone doesn't want a relegated manager for the best Scottish team. Just that Mowbray once played for Celtic cannot be the only cause.
And there is
Richard Dunne
, my favourite player, who went through a very difficult last season, but showed a great display in the Republic's recent WC qualification match in
Bulgaria
, also scoring the drawing goal. He was praised an honoured as MOTM afterwards but
hardly mentioned
on
Man City
's homepage (but the recent new blue boy
Gareth Barry
got the main headlines). What is it? Is this the way to treat a player, who stayed at the club since 2000, who is still the club's skipper and was fan's favourite for four consecutive seasons? Indeed, Dunney had some poor months last season, but puts himself into a very decent form in the last months (infact since the arrival of
Shay Given
at the club), showing that he is one of the best centre-backs in the Premier League. It would be a big mistake, if MH will decide to sell Richard, but in that case I hope for a good club for him, where he is welcome, as it seems he isn't at City any more.

I'm not sure Mowbray would be such a bad appointment. He enforces nice passing football, and will have a bigger transfer kitty to deal with at Celtic. Plus (let's face it) the SPL is no Premiership. I feel all Celtic are short of is a real goalgetter. As for Dunne, he definately deserves recognition. Ireland shining star in both matches against Bulgaria (scoring in both games). Plus most of the times he was poor last season was because he had to rush out to cover for another defender who was out of position. A City and Ireland legend. Who remembers the days of "The Honey-Puff Monster" tags, not a lot.

Definitely! Dunney in almost every matches in last season had three different defenders around him - there was hardly the same four defenders in two consecutive matches, plus with Micah Richards and Nedum Onuha two Under21 internationals, i.e. very young players who had too often to cover, as you've noticed. I think, if Dunney really walks out at City, the Fans and MH will definitely miss him at one point in the coming season. On Mowbray I'd love to do him well at Celtic and would wish him all the best when he'd take over. We will see.
